Jim Thome used to be my all-time favorite baseball player. And while I am still a fan, I'm not as big of fan as I once was. And for a very simple reason, h ebailed on the Cleveland Indians to win.
Well, I look at the 2007 baseball playoffs and I see the Cleveland Indians. I also see the Phillies, the team he left for but was later traded from. And I love every second of it.
Meanwhile, Thome is playing for the lowly White Sox just two years late.
Losing Thome wasn't all bad though. I am a huge fan of Travis Hafner and Ryan Garko, both of whom would have significantly less playing time if Thome was around.
So Jim, I would love if you came back to Cleveland and win a championship. I just hope it's after we win a World Series.

1. No one will score more than Indy's 41 points.

2. The highest scoring match-up will be Bengals/Ravens.
-Ravens/Bengals scored 47. The top scoring match-up was Cowboys/Giants at 80 points.
3. Laurence Maroney will be the week's leading rusher.
-As it stands, Titans's Chris Brown leads all rushers with 175 yards. Maroney rushed for just 72 yards.
4. Brett Favre will attempt the most passes in Week 1.
-Favre and Marc Bulger tied at 42 each
5. Devin Hester will return at most two kicks/punts/field goals.
-Hester returned one kick for 29 yards.
6. Ben Roethlisberger will throw for over 275 yards.
-While he had 4 TDs, Big Ben only threw for 161 yards.
7. Donovan McNabb will throw for over 320 yards.
-McNabb and the Eagles were shocked by Green Bay as Donovan only threw for 184 yards.
8. Seattle will give up the fewest points.
-Seattle gave up 6, but San Diego, Houston, and Minnesota gave up just 3 each.
9. The closest final score will between St. Louis and Carolina.
-Carolina won by 14. There was 1 point between Denver and Buffalo.
10. The Browns and Raiders will still suck.
-The Browns got dominated 34-7 and looked horrible the entire game. The Raiders started slow, came back nicely in the second half, and then blew it in the final minutes.
Current Record: 3-7
Not bad considering these are random predictions and anything can happen. The goofiness of week one didn't help any.
